Rene Wenzl, MD

After studying medicine at the University of Vienna, I soon sought intensive contact with the field of obstetrics and gynecology. I have been working at the University Department of Gynecology since 1988 and have been a senior physician in charge of the ward there since 1996.

My professional focus is on surgical gynecology, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids. In addition to numerous scientific publications, I regularly give lectures both at home and abroad.

I am continually expanding my specialist knowledge through stays abroad (e.g. visiting professorship at the University of Tübingen, Germany and research stay at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland).
